Foxy is a fox animatronic, as his name suggests, with tattered red-brown fur and hair and a hook on his right hand. He, like the other animatronics, bears a set of teeth; however, his are razor sharp and actually resemble that of a canine. His skin is ripped on the chest, stomach, and especially the legs, implying the need of repairs. His jaw also hangs limply when broken, and the skin connecting his jaw and face splits and rips.
Foxy hides behind the curtains of Pirate Cove instead of coming after the player immediately; his arrival is triggered by too little or too much moderation with the cameras. In the fifth phase of his emerging from the curtains, he will quickly sprint down the hallway and, unless the player is quick enough to close the door in time, he will peek through the doorway and emit a loud screech, followed by the game over screen.
